Journalism teacher Polly Rippon has been nominated for The Conversation’s 2024 Sir Paul Curran award in academic journalism.
Every year the award is handed out to an academic who has shown exceptional skill, dedication and engagement in communicating their knowledge to readers of , a news analysis and opinion website written by academic experts.
Polly has written a number of important articles for The Conversation explaining media coverage of major news stories including ‘,’&²Ô²ú²õ±è; and .
Speaking about the nomination, Polly said: "I was very surprised to be nominated for this prestigious award but I am absolutely delighted to have made the shortlist."
Professor Sir Paul Curran is the Patron of The Conversation and Former President and now Professor Emeritus, at the City, СŷÊÓÆµ of London.
The award winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on May 1.
