Jack has always had an interest in mechanical engineering and decided to that interest into studying a degree here at Sheffield.
He tells us more about why he chose Sheffield - including the facilities, course and city - and how he is working towards a future career in Formula 1.
He also tells us more about being involved in extracurricular activities such as building a fuel-efficient vehicle and karting, why he decided to pursue a year in industry and how he is excited to start his placement within Formula 1.
International undergraduate scholarships
We offer a generous package of financial support for international undergraduate students, including scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee (worth up to £40,000 for four-year programmes).
Applications are open for existing offer holders for an undergraduate degree programme starting in autumn 2025.
