We are delighted to offer a variety of academic sessions which range from providing students with an introduction to subject areas, an insight into lectures here at Sheffield, right through to interactive activities to inspire students to consider their options.

Sessions can predominantly be delivered online, or there may be opportunities for us to visit you and deliver in the classroom, as well as the chance for students to complete these sessions as part of a visit to our fantastic campus.

Where do speech and language therapists work, and how do they help? This session explores all this and more, with an overview of our course content, in-house speech clinic and placements, as well as guidance on the application process. Find out what the future holds as a qualified speech and language therapist.
Speech Clinic Experience
You can also bring your students onto campus and experience our purpose built speech clinics. You will have the opportunity to see our specialist facilities, get involved with some clinical skills and gain an insight into becoming a Speech and Language Therapist. These sessions can take place on a Monday with a maximum capacity of 20 students.

The Covid-19 pandemic showed us how important it is to understand and predict epidemics - but how can maths help? In this taster lecture, you鈥檒l learn how we can use mathematical modelling to address real-life problems, like understanding the spread of infectious diseases.
- Maths and Statistics Taster Lecture - The mathematics of Monopoly

Experience an undergraduate lecture, informed by current research from a Sheffield mathematician. When playing Monopoly, are you more likely to land on Park Lane or Trafalgar Square? The Faculty of Social Sciences offers a diverse range of creative and ambitious courses, and these taster sessions provide an excellent introduction to how each subject uniquely addresses some of society's most pressing challenges. We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships worth 拢10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.
Applications are open for existing offer holders for programmes starting in autumn 2025.
